Rians Sticky Fingers

The other morning we made french toast for breakfast. Rian loved licking the syrup off the french toast strips I had made for her. However, she soon realized that her hands were covered in syrup. (if any of you have been around Rian lately, she freaks out if she has the slightest drop of anything on her fingers.) So she was of coarse, freaking out. I usually tell her that she needs to lick her fingers to get it off. But by then she had realized that when she put her hands together she couldn't get them apart easily. They were stuck together! It was so funny. She loved it and probably sat there for a half hour, putting her hands together and slowly pulling them apart. I couldn't resist and had to run to grab our camera. Horray for sticky fingers!

Got a Leaky Faucet? WE DO!

When we first bought our house, we had an allowance to buy a refrigerator and some tile for the bathroom. John did the work on the tile in our bathroom within the first few months of us living here. We have always planned on re-doing the shower, but with-in the last week we have learned that that is coming sooner than planned. Our shower faucet is leaking water. You can't turn off the water all of the way. John and our neighbor took apart the handle and one of the gaskets is broken. It is so old that we can't find the part to fix it. So we have been turning off our water at night, and during the day when we are both gone to work. It's not hard to do, but what a pain. In order to replace the faucet, we have to replace the connections in the wall. So we are in pricing mode and are getting ready to tear out the tile in the shower. So I took a few pictures to show the old first before we get too deep into the project. I'll keep you posted.

Our little house and flowers

Here are a few pictures of our house. And of coarse our plants growing in the front flower beds. I can't wait to see what they all are. (since we moved here in September, we missed all of last years blooms. I think the front ones are Tulips but I am not sure what is blooming behind them.

Playing Outside

One Sunday afternoon the weather was so nice outside we couldn't stand to be indoors any longer. We recently received this outdoor play center with a slide from a lady at John's work. John took the time to pressure wash it a few days before and got it all set up. So it was nice that it was ready to be played upon. Rian was loving it. She went down the slide probably 5o times. It was a nice day to be outside. We also walked around our lawn and flower beds and we have plants! I don't quite know what everything is yet, so we'll have to wait for our spring surprise!
