Gunnar John Pace

Announcing Our Baby Boy-Gunnar John Pace! Born on Feb. 18, 2010 at 7:33 p.m. 5 lbs 2 oz and 17 1/2 inches. After just 7 hours of Labor he is here!! I was pretty sure my water had broke in the morning, so when I went to my doctor's appointment I packed the car (just in case). Sure enough, the Dr. said to walk across the hall to labor and delivery. I was worried because they were going to give me pitocin and I wanted a natural childbirth. John met me there around 12:30 p.m. I was having regular contractions so the nurse talked to our Dr. and they decided to wait on the pitocin. Hooray! By dinner time I was ready to have the baby. I even choose not to have an epidural and was so glad I did! Gunnar was born at 36 weeks. Although he was small he is a healthy baby boy! We got to come home from the hospital when he was 2 days old. We are all doing really good. It feels nice to be home. Rian is staying with my parents this week and is having a blast with Koda their dog. Here are a few pictures of our wonderful journey!

First Photo Together, many thanks to the nurse!

In the Carseat. I almost had to come home in a car bed because of my size. Mommy convinced the nurse my carseat went down to 4 lbs. So we did a 90 min. car seat check instead (where they watch the oxygen level of the baby. It has to stay above 90 %. I was at 95% the whole time)

Classical Guitar

I have the most amazing classical guitar cd that John bought me a few years back for Valentines or for our Wedding Anniversary. I seriously listen to it every night for relaxation. I have been wanting to find some more music like this for when I have the baby (I have volume 1 of this Sounds of Excellence series). For Christmas this year we looked for the other volumes to this collection. We only had the disk, not the case, and couldn't find anything from the information on the cd. So John bought me a whole slew of classical guitar music cd's hoping that I could find something similar to listen to. The Cd's we got are alright but just not the same feel even though they say "Classical Guitar" on them. Some are a little too upbeat to be relaxing!

So amidst the cleaning (nesting) I have been doing, I found a box of old cd cases the other day and found the cd case to this disk. I now know that the music on the cd I have is performed by a musician named Matteo Campanella. So of coarse I googled his name and found the cd I already have. On ebay right now you can buy it for just $93.40!! Yikes!

I have since found Volumes 2 and 3 on Amazon both for under $10.00. So I snatched them up and I am the happiest person in the world right now!
