Our Little Aspen Tree

A friend of our had mentioned to us that she had this aspen tree in her yard that needed to be transplanted or cut down. It was planted too close to a huge pine tree. She told us if we wanted it for our yard, all we had to do was come and get it. Saturday John got up at 7 am and luckily had some help from neighbors, and dug a hole in our front yard (where we had the old stump we pulled out with the tractor) to accommodate the tree. Then they spent all day trying to get the tree out of Radine's yard. Literally all day. I got home from work at 5:30 and they pulled up like 10 minutes later with the tree. We then spent till 9:30 putting it in and staking it so it won't fall over etc. John was so exhaused at the end of the day. The tree better survive cause I had to convince John that "we needed it."

The view from the street

This is the view from the front deck. All Finished! Horray!!!!

What happened to our Yard?!?!

So this is what I come home from work to the other day. I knew that John and the neighbors were renting a tractor, but I didn't expect this! Originally we were just pulling a stump out of our front yard, but now we have another project going...Our neighbors were renting a tractor to do some work on the side of their house. We figured we might as well pull up the stump in the front, then later John decided we might as well dig up the nasty weeds in the park strip and between the driveway and the sidewalk. We are planning on cementing in to make the drive way wider and then put rocks in the park strip. I am hoping this will not be as long as a project as the bathroom has been (by the way, it's still not done!) Just thought I'd share some pictures!

More Disneyland Pictures

Some of my favorite Disneyland Picts

I won't have time to write a huge post about our trip to Disneyland right now, but I just wanted to share a few picts of our little princess. (and reese too!)

Car Seat Covers

Hey everyone!

I have just (almost) finished my first of many car seat covers. These are so cute!! I have seen them everywhere and just love them. What a great idea. Now you never have to worry about losing your blanket again or worry about holding it on your car seat. You can still use your car seat handle. These will shade you baby from the sun and most importantly keep random peoples grubby fingers off of your precious little one. Oh and did I mention that they are so cute. I have a little bit more embellishing to do on this one...I'm putting buttons on the top of the straps to make it more boyish. And for the little girls they will have bows and be super adorable! I'll have to post some more pictures when I truly finish. I am taking orders for these if your interested. Post me a note or email me. I am thinking of selling these anywhere from $30 to $40 dollars depending on what you want. Just let me know if your interested.
